Pre-pressing your rosin bags with one of our handy pre-presses is the easiest way to decrease blowouts, fit more material into each bag, and increase your overall rosin pressing efficiency. They’re made with premium quality billeted aluminum just for us and come in two different sizes depending on the size of bags you’re pressing. Each pre-press has 3 separate pieces for easy, repeatable bag compression. When you pre-press your rosin bags, especially for ice water hash or sift rosin, it helps ensure even packing throughput each rosin bag before it hits the plates. This is a must-have accessory for any solventless lab or rosin enthusiast.

While pressing down with your hands and bodyweight on a sturdy table is better than nothing, picking up a cheap Arbor press from Harbor Freight or online will give you much better compaction and a better end result.

When you apply pressure to a filled rosin bag in a Lowtemp pre-press, it forces your material to fill every nook and cranny in the bag. This action compresses the bag in a way that ensures when heat and higher force is applied, the pre-expansion has already occurred and your material is pushed up against the inner surface of the bag which helps prevent blowouts, especially with hash. 

Simply use a paper towel with 99% isopropyl alcohol or a clean rag to remove any latent resin. If that’s not working, you may need to soak the affected piece or pieces in iso briefly to remove all the residue. Make sure to rinse with water and fully dry your pre-press before using it again.
