Our DIY rosin press cage kits are where it all started at Lowtemp, and while we’ve proudly released new iterations of our industry favorite V2 presses since then, we still have these systems ready to ship for anyone needing an affordable rosin pressing solution. Available in either a 4x7 or 3x5 setup, these DIY cage bundles are made with only premium components and are built to last. They come with all of the mounting hardware you need, plates, insulation, thermocouples, and a controller, so you can install it easily into any hydraulic shop press. We anodize both platens for durability and you get to choose which color suits your fancy. These kits come with a lifetime warranty on the cage and plates and a one year warranty on the controller.

Please note: you WILL need a hydraulic shop press to make this DIY kit functional – hydraulic pressure application is not included. If you want an all-in-one solution, check out our V2 rosin press options.

faq

Using our V2 3x5, we suggest starting with the following figures:
Bubble hash + sift: up to 30 grams or whatever you’re confident in handling, we’ve done up more than 60 grams before but it takes practice!
Flower: 5-7 grams without a pre-press, or 10-16 grams with one. You can do more in some cases, but blowouts become more likely due to volume.
Just remember, when you press smaller bags, the amount of pressure is greatly amplified, so we recommend going slow until you dial it in with your material.

While our V2 4x7 press is our largest model, we’ve designed them to be completely modular so that you can string multiple Lowtemp V2 rosin presses together that are orchestrated by a single pump and LT3 controller for massive output. You can combine up to 5x into what we call our Medusa systems to scale your output with ease.
