Harvest Right’s X-Large Home Pro model is the highest throughput unit in the entire line up and has a staggering 2,251 square inches of available tray space (compared to the Large Pharmaceutical’s 1,476). The Home Pro version offers many of the same features and works extremely well for ice water hash. Unfortunately we do not, customer service inquiries for all Harvest Right units go directly through them at their request. If you have any issues, give them a call ASAP at 801-386-8960.

It’s super simple, if you aren’t running an Oil Free pump (which we strongly suggest), you should change the vacuum pump’s oil every 20-30 runs (approximately once every month or two with daily use) and ensure the interior chamber as well as your trays are cleaned frequently.

Truth be told, there isn’t much of a difference in terms of interface, but the Pharmaceutical models do offer a bit more customization in terms of settings. The Home Pro models however get the job done just as well and have bigger capacity for the money.

How you want to run your electrical is up to you, but there’s nothing worse than having your freeze dryer trip a breaker switch (especially when you’re not there). Installing or using an extra dedicated 20 amp for this model and the Large Pharmaceutical unit as well is strongly suggested.
